Drake Shares His New Song, “Summer Sixteen”

Drake has kicked off Views From the 6 season as he premiered his latest song, "Summer Sixteen," during today's episode of OVO Sound Radio on Beats 1. The song was produced by Noah "40" Shebib, Boi-1da, and Cuebeatz, and finds Drizzy firing shots at Meek Mill and even mentions JAY Z. One line in particular, could cause plenty of discussions on the internet:
"Now I got a bigger pool than Ye / And look man, Ye’s pool is nice, mine is just bigger is what I’m saying"
Do we have another "situation" coming up? It remains to be seen. Fact is, the accompanying image art for the hinted track was produced by Filip Pagowski, the artist behind the instantly recognizable COMME des GARCONS PLAY heart icon. Listen to "Summer Sixteen" here.

Listen to Rihanna's 'Anti' Bonus Cut "Sex With Me"

Rihanna just dropped her new album Anti, and now she’s released a bonus cut — a single entitled “Sex With Me.” Definitely not subtle, we can all guess what the song is about. But with its soft and melodic tune, it’s definitely easy to listen to. The song was released alongside two other tracks — “Pose” and “Goodnight Gotham.” Listen to “Sex With Me” here

Tame Impala Are Cool With Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ Cover

On Rihanna's new album Anti, there's one track that stands out right away. While most of the LP is an original effort, one of the songs is a cover of Tame Impala's "New Person, Same Old Mistake." Originally featured as a song on Tame Impala's most recent project Currents, "New Person, Same Old Mistake" was repurposed and reworked for Rihanna's latest record. Now, Tame Impala have released an official statement on the matter. Released to NME, the statement reads pretty positively for both camps. Apparently, the band members are pretty big fans of Rihanna's version of their track. Check out their words on the subject below.
"The Roc Nation team got in touch with us here at Spinning Top letting us know that Rihanna loved the Tame Impala track 'New Person, Same Old Mistakes.' They asked if she could cover the song for her new record. Kevin was more than happy to send it her way. We're all really happy with how the song turned out, love it!"

Behind the Magic: The Visual Effects of Jurassic World

Motion picture visual effects company ILM released the a new “Behind the Magic” clip showing some of the work that went into creating Jurassic World. Despite being snubbed from any Academy Award nominations, the blockbuster’s VFX work was second to none, and fans will surely be pleased to know a sequel is in the works. Check out some of the computer generated tricks like transforming humans into dinosaurs in the intriguing footage above.

Beyonce and Sonam Kapoor Join Coldplay in 'Hymn For the Weekend' Video

You’ll have to wait until Feb. 7 to watchBeyoncé join Coldplay onstage at the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, but today (Jan. 29) you can watch them together in the just-released video for “Hymn For the Weekend.”
The mini-epic was filmed in Mumbai, India with famed Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor. For a song featuring the refrain, “Feeling drunk and high, so high, so high,” we think they did it justice.
“Hymn For the Weekend” comes from Coldplay’s recent LP A Head Full of Dreams.

Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap, Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber & More Star in Calvin Klein's Latest Campaign

Following the phenomenal success of Calvin Klein’s much-spoofed advertising campaigns separately featuring Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner (which gained it millions of new millennial followers on social media), the brand has gone all out for its Spring 2016 underwear campaign, recruiting the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap, Abbey Lee Kershaw and FKA twigs to lend their star power alongside returning appearances from Bieber and Jenner. The celebrities fill out an empty field describing what exactly they do in their Calvins, with Kendall proclaiming that she “dreams” in hers in a max cozy/sexy pose, which will undoubtedly perk the interest of her tens of millions of followers. Find some images in the gallery above and the campaign video below.

Budweiser Unveils Minimal New and Updated Logo

Budweiser has updated its identity for modern times thanks to creative agency JKR. As a part of a global rebrand, JKR took Budweiser’s signature bowtie-style logo from its 140-year history into 2016 with a more two dimensional design. Eschewing shadows and hints of gold for something more simple, the new logo is recognizable but fresh. In addition to the new logo, the agency produced two bespoke fonts — Bud Bold and Bud Crafted. Both fonts were envisioned to encompass the traits of “confidence and quality.” What do you think of the new logo?

Wiz Khalifa Freestyles Over Adele’s “Hello”

Other rappers have taken a shot at rapping over Adele's record-breaing comeback single "Hello," so why can't Wiz Khalifa? While serving as a guest on Los Angeles radio station Power 106's The Cruz Show, Wiz Khalifa was presented with the opportunity to go in over the track after Cruz decided to get the track's beat rolling. Wiz Khalifa's response: a "freestyle" that flips Adele's biggest song into a stoner's anthem. From the sound of things, Wiz Khalifa has probably practiced this one before. You can check out Wiz Khalifa's take on "Hello" above.

Kanye West Adds New Song to ‘WAVES’ Tracklist

Earlier, Kanye West announced that he was changing the album title of SWISH to WAVES. About half an hour later, 'Ye posted an updated tracklist via Twitter with the correction as well as what seems to be a brand new track, titled "Ultra Light Beam." The album now seems to be separated into three "acts" and the piece of paper has signatures of artists (who we guess have probably somehow contributed to the album) such as A$AP Rocky, Swizz Beats, The-Dream, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and more. Check out the photo below.

'Meeky Mill' Is the New Rap Feud Video Game You Need to Play

The ongoing Meek Mill-Drake feud has taken a hilarious turn with a new video game that features “Meeky Mill” dodging L-bombs and collecting coins, all while running away from Drizzy and 50 Cent in space ships. In case you’re not caught up, Meek Mill accused Champagne Papi last year of using a ghostwriter for some of his biggest hits. Since then, the back-and-forth of disses and affronts has inspired an onslaught of targeted tracks, memes, tweets and more. Although a reconciliation between the two artists is highly unlikely, Meek has already instigated another quarrel. This time around, the subject of his strife is none other than 50 Cent. Making light of this seemingly unending string of rivalries, musician-slash-game developer Richie Branson has created an endless runner-formatted game available for both PC and Mac. You can check out the trailer above and can download the game at meekymill.com.

Adele's "Hello" Becomes the Fastest Video to Reach 1 Billion Views

Adele's track "Hello" has become the fastest video to hit a billion views on YouTube, taking just 87 days to reach the milestone. She topples "Gingham Style" by Psy, which achieved the same figure in 158 days. So far, there are only 17 videos on YouTube to reach the 1 billion mark, including "Sugar" by Maroon 5, "Lean On" by Major Lazer, "Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem, "Party Rock" by LMFAO, and "Chandelier" by Sia
"A few years ago, only PSY's Gangnam Style and Justin Bieber's Baby had reached the milestone," says YouTube. "And Baby took over four years to get there. Of the 17 videos that have reached one billion, four of these were released last year. While one billion views is rare, it's occurring at a faster rate. Since 2014, the number of days to reach one billion views has dropped dramatically. In 2013, the fastest track to one billion was Katy Perry's Roar at 487 days. In 2014, it was Taylor Swift's Blank Space at 238 days. In 2015, Adele managed to set the bar at 87 days."
If you want to add one more view, you can watch the video below.

The BFG teaser poster arrives

Whizzpoppers, rejoice: a new piece of the BFG’s anatomy has been revealed! Alongside young orphan, Sophie (Ruby Barnhill), the cordial colossus’s lower legs and sandalled feet are very much the stars of the show in this brand new teaser poster.
Last month’s trailer introduced us to Sophie as she seemingly found herself stalked by the cloaked, dream-collecting giant. Of course, those of us familiar with Roald Dahl’s 1982 book (and the 1989 animation) know the mysterious behemoth is anything but scary - that job is left to Bill Hader and Jemaine Clement as even bigger giants, Bloodbottler and Fleshlumpeater.
After working with Steven Spielberg on Bridge Of Spies (and finding himself Oscar nominated in the process), Mark Rylance is the man behind the mo-cap as the Big Friendly Giant, recently giving us the skinny on his character's flatulent frolics.
There are certainly elements of Matilda and Big Fish in the above poster, which is considerably lighter in tone than anything that's been released for the film thus far. Having now seen the BFG’s eyes, hand, feet and legs, will Spielberg keep us in suspense and leave the full reveal until the summer? We’ll bet our last snozzcumber on it.
The BFG is released in the UK on July 22.

'A World Unseen' Takes You Behind the Scenes of 'The Revenant'

Leonardo DiCaprio has already gone on record saying that Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant is the most difficult film of his career, and while his recent Golden Globes victory has all but pinned him as a favorite for that hallowed Best Actor Oscar statuette, 20th Century Fox have decided to bolster the film’s chances by releasing A World Unseen. The 40-minute documentary chronicles the trials and tribulations of the film’s production: long days spent in the wilderness lugging equipment, Leo’s process of becoming an American folk hero, and the social responsibilities that come with accurately and respectfully portraying Native American people and culture on film.

The documentary is essential viewing if you enjoyed the film, and it makes for great pre-Oscar viewing and argument fodder.

Sia - "Unstoppable"

Sia's latest track comes from the DJ Khaled school of relentless optimism: I'm invincible, I win every single day / I'm so powerful I don't need batteries today. The core of the track is piano, as is often the case on Sia songs. But don't be fooled—these tracks suck you in as mournful ballads before revealing their true nature: armor-plated, imperious, and unrelenting. Listen above and look for Sia's new album, This Is Acting, January 29.

Video: A Brief History of Swearing in Movies

YouTube channel Movie Munchies has created this great short video covering the history of swearing in movies. The three-minute clip goes from the very first profanity used in film in 1929 - right the way up to South Park’s potty-mouthed Bigger, Longer & Uncut movie from 1999.
It brings up some interesting facts about swearing, such as the first use of "fuck" on film came from a cartoon, and that swearing was banned in movies from 1934 until 1968. Take a look above!

Grimes Shares Self-Animated Video for “Kill V. Maim”

Canadian pop star Grimes aka Claire Boucher shares her new visuals today for "Kill V. Maim" off her groundbreaking 2015 album Art Angels, and it looks like she's added another artistic skill to her resume: animation. Boucher's directed all of her music videos except "Oblivion," which she co-directed with Emily Kai Bock. From writing, directing, editing, coloring, and art direction, it's definitively clear at this point that being a polymath is as natural as it gets for Grimes. Watch above.

Back in 2012, actor Alan Rickman, who sadly passed away aged 69 yesterday, was part of a project by David Michalek called Portraits in Dramatic Time. During her seven-minute short film, which is shot in extreme slow motion, Rickman manages to turn drinking a cup of tea into the most epic thing of all time. The music here is from Inception and adds a whole other level of depth to the momentous occasion.

Watch How They Make the Famous $100 Donut

Forbes have taken a trip over to the Manila Social Club in Williamsburg to check out the restaurants $100 gold-plated donut, which went viral after being posted to Instagram.
"It came out after our first DJ & Donut event," says chef Björn Delacruz. "I made a white IPA donut and it had the gold dust on it. Then on New Years I wanted to give a gift to my staff […] and so I made this gold donut. I posted it on Instagram and it turned out people wanted to buy it […] The gold doesn't add anything to the flavour. It could add some excitement, we eat with our eyes first right? But it's really the flavour of Cristal that really works so well with ube."
He goes on to show what goes into the donut's preparation and adds that the sweet treat isn't just gimmicky, it actually really tastes fantastic. Check out the video above.

BeTheSpartan Album Review - Alt J: This Is All Yours

Album Review: Alt J "This Is Al Yours"

Band: Alt J

Category: Alternative/Indie-Rock

Album Name: This Is All Yours

Alt j's Latest Album Can Be Called Both A Continuation And An ugrade from their 2012 Debut album "An Awesome Wave"

A Continuation;
Listening to the Intro Off "This is all yours", you might be reminded by the Intro of "An Awesome Wave" but with more "Epicness" and twists maybe because  both span 2:37 and 4:38 Respectively or because The intro of "This is all yours" was obviously composed with more instruments and effort.

An Upgrade;
"An Awesome Wave" Was Their debut album but it was still awesome, but "This Is All Yours" definitely shows the the band have grown grown in skill even though there are some songs in this album that may make you wonder why they are there. But im sure that will be fixed in their next studio album. Scroll below for a song by song review from "This Is All Yours"

1 Intro;
This is almost too fitting for an album opener. It is suprising as it is loud And as Epic as it is fast paced and it can be viewed as a fitting sequel for the previous album's Intro 9/10

2 Arrival in Nara;
This, I Think, is to serve as a a means to take the Egde of After listening  to the intro (Thats if you have not taken it back Half a dozen times already) Although after a while it starts sounding a bit stale and slow 6/10

3 Nara;
This Takes you back to the heights of the intro with a calm begining, a Loud satisfactory middle and an even slower end 8/10

4 Every Other Freckle;
This will remind you of The Hit "Breezeblocks" Just with more weirdness and a beat to skip to 9/10

5 Left Hand Free;
Guiter ridden Lines and a beat Pumping Chorus. This one is simply awesome 9/10

6 Garden Of England;
This One tries and fails to be Interlude 1 from "An Awesome Wave" Unless you are an 80 year old
with anger management issues 3/10

7 Choice Kingdom;
This will simply remind you Indie Rock has a weird side 7/10

8 Hunger Of The Pine;
This is the peak of awesomeness, It just makes you Love the band again with it's catchy tune and it's sure to stick in your head for an extremely long time 9/10

9 Warm Foothills;
This is simply a sad song, like for breakups and Finding your other half and stuff. But you hear a woman's voice in it soooo........ That's Something 5/10

10 The Gospel Of John Hurt;
The song just proves that titles can be decieving. You won't even know know the name of the song once you've listened to it. While clicking play to listen to the life and times of an old actor, you get carefully placed beats and lyrics 8/10

11 Pusher;
While this might sound like burial song, it actually has a message that some (Not Me) can relate to 7/10

12 Bloodflood pt 2;
If you loved Loved Pt 1 from "An Awesome Wave" You would find this irresisteble 9/10

13 Leaving Nara;
A fitting end for the Three Part 'Nara' series You will be satisfied after listning to this 8/10

14 A lovely Day (Bonus Track)
This one might seem unappealing when first listened to. It won't even stay in your head. but if you calm down and listen to it, you will find out it's a pretty Awesome remix to bill withers' 1977 song  8/10

Dumb Ways To Die [Game Of Thrones Edition]

A Lone Rebel Pilot Gets Left Behind on Hoth in This Captivating 'Star Wars' Fan Film

Given the immense cultural impact of the Star Wars franchise over the past three and a half decades,it’s needless to say there are mounds upon mounds of fan fiction out there, but few truly do the original trilogy justice. Filmed and directed by independent filmmakers, Blood Brother Cinema Co., “Rebel Scum” is one prime example of just that. Telling the story of a lone pilot with the Rebel Alliance who gets left behind after the Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back, the short film is remarkable in its adherence to the 1980 epic, evident in everything from its sweeping ice-bound environment (filmed over two months in minus 30°C in Alberta’s Athabasca Glacier), the props, stop motion, color grading and even the scene transitions. Watch what could very well pass as a tie-in by Mr. Lucas himself up above, and catch the making-of here

Rihanna Is Named the Most Marketable Celebrity in America

In a new study released by The NPD Group, Rihanna is named as the most marketable celebrity in America. This is perhaps not that surprising, since prominent brands such as Dior and Puma both featured RiRi as the face of their campaigns last year. The study sought to identify the brand preferences of fans in order to help marketers identify the stars that are most likely to elicit positive engagement from consumers. Oddly enough, Jeep was one of the brands that drove Rihanna’s index score up, meaning that her fans display a significant preference for the car marque. Clocking in with a score of 367, this makes the singer three times stronger of an endorser for brands than the average A-list celebrity. In fact, other celebrities that were considered were Angelina Jolie, Tim McGraw, Coldplay and Stephen Curry. Coming in at second was Beyoncé, followed by Ne-Yo and Usher who were tied for third.
The study was conducted through the BrandLink database, which collated responses from consumer surveys regarding more than 1,000 celebrities and 2,500 brands in a diverse range of categories that included automotive, consumer packaged goods, beauty and fashion, restaurants, technology and more. To read more about the study, you can head over to The NPD Group’s website.
