'A World Unseen' Takes You Behind the Scenes of 'The Revenant'

Leonardo DiCaprio has already gone on record saying that Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant is the most difficult film of his career, and while his recent Golden Globes victory has all but pinned him as a favorite for that hallowed Best Actor Oscar statuette, 20th Century Fox have decided to bolster the film’s chances by releasing A World Unseen. The 40-minute documentary chronicles the trials and tribulations of the film’s production: long days spent in the wilderness lugging equipment, Leo’s process of becoming an American folk hero, and the social responsibilities that come with accurately and respectfully portraying Native American people and culture on film.

The documentary is essential viewing if you enjoyed the film, and it makes for great pre-Oscar viewing and argument fodder.
